We offer safe, expert, microsuction ear wax removal & hearing tests to patients in High Wycombe, Amersham, Beaconsfield and the surrounding areas. Patients can visit us in Holmer Green or we can visit you at your home
This painless method eliminates the need for water to be squirted into your ear, distinguishing it from certain other techniques. Instead, it employs a low-pressure suction probe inserted into the ear to gently remove excess wax and debris. This cutting-edge technology ensures a swift and effective ear wax removal process. Rest assured, all our practitioners are extensively trained in utilising this advanced technique.
The fee of £50/£75 encompasses the clinician's time and is applicable regardless of whether wax is removed from one or both ears or if no wax is present. We are unable to offer a complimentary inspection due to capacity constraints. In cases where no wax, blockage or foreign object is found, otoscopy and a hearing test will be conducted to explore the issue. If we find anything unusual in your ears, we will refer your case to our audiologists or your GP for additional attention. The administrative cost associated with the referral is included in the overall fee. If uncertain about the presence of wax, we recommend consulting your GP before scheduling an appointment.

While the process is generally painless, it does entail some noise and occasional mild discomfort.
Following wax removal, you may perceive a slight alteration in how things sound due to the absence of wax. Additionally, you might notice a minor amount of ringing or buzzing in your ears, which should subside within a couple of days.
We will initially conduct a review of your medical history. This is to assess any potential medical factors that might make microsuction unsuitable for you. The clinician will discuss any associated risks before ensuring your willingness to proceed.

We will initially conduct a review of your medical history. This is to assess any potential medical factors that might make microsuction unsuitable for you. The clinician will discuss any associated risks before ensuring your willingness to proceed.
Subsequently, using an otoscope, a magnification tool with a light, the clinician will inspect your ears to confirm that the earwax is sufficiently soft for microsuction removal.
If the wax is soft, the clinician will gently use a suction tube and probe to extract the wax from your ear.
In cases where the wax is too hardened for immediate removal, you may need to continue with softening drops and schedule a follow up appointment
